For over 16 years, the Ohio Valley Music Guild has been providing quality events and entertainment, arts/culture preservation, and music scholarships to many throughout the Ohio Valley. As the world continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and more things open, the OVMG Board members are conducting our annual Membership Drive this June. During the pandemic, the Music Guild brought you a virtual concert by Pittsburgh’s Ashley Marina (which you can watch on our YouTube channel), continued to support the Grand Theater Project, and awarded our annual music scholarship to Mollie Vonderhaar from Xavier University.
As we begin to plan events and other programs, your support is needed more than ever. Membership is open to all individuals. Persons desiring general membership may join by paying annual dues and participating in the activities of the organization. As a regular member/prospective member, we hope you will continue or begin to support us to boost our membership, starting at only $20 per person (same price as previous years). Other membership levels are available including Bronze ($50), Silver ($100), and Gold ($200+); each includes membership for up to 2 individuals (i.e., couples, etc.) and are designated in all our event programs and on our website. Whatever level you choose is greatly appreciated. We have included a form for you to fill out and send with your payment. For the first time, you may also join/give online at https://ovmusicguild.square.site. If you have any questions, you may email us at email@example.com.
During this campaign, we want you to know about our past accomplishments and why your involvement is so important. Since 2004, we have held nearly 50 events. We have brought in Opera singers, Broadway singers, jazz singers and ensembles, Flamenco dancers, a Steel Drum orchestra, Act Il of the Nutcracker Ballet, a Swing Band Orchestra featuring dance instructors, Pittsburgh Ballet Dancers and most recently, local talent by the Sycamore Center Youth and Community. Though the pandemic prevented us from having events in 2020, with your support in 2021, we hope to continue our mission of providing quality entertainment at affordable prices to the Ohio Valley.
One of our greatest achievements is creating a Music Scholarship Fund. For the past 10 years with your support and commitment, we have been able to award scholarships to college students who have a local connection and who have declared to be in a music-related major/field of study. These scholarships are offered to music students who have completed their freshman year in college. We are also proud to support the Grand Theatre Renovation Project with an annual gift.
Whether you have been a long-time member or are joining us for the first time, please renew or join now and help us continue our programs. For more information, visit https://ohiovalleymusicguild.com or https://www.facebook.com/OhioValleyMusicGuild.
